Senior Systems Engineer - The Netherlands



The Position
GPXS Hosting is seeking a senior systems engineer to provide technical support and/or guidance directly to clients and internal customers. This person will be responsible for supporting server-side systems and optimizing our customers’ hosted IT environments. Provide in-depth technical and product support to customers through the troubleshooting and debugging of hardware, software, and application issues. Interact with system administrators and end-users within GPXS’ customer base as well as with third party suppliers.


Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced systems engineer who has a strong background in customer-facing technical case management and resolution, with a strong preference for experience that includes application, OS platforms and tools.

- Address customer and reseller needs on the usage and configuration of their GPXS-hosted
  solutions in a Citrix Metaframe 4.0 environment
- Provide support by phone, on-line and on-site
- Provide customer support, managing customer cases for GPXS’ data integration product
  suite
- Provide technical assistance and remote troubleshooting support
- Reproduce customer issues for local diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Report and monitor problems and bugs with GPXS and third party products
- Pro-actively monitor and manage the server park
- Plan and execute upgrades in hardware and software
- Manage a supply chain of hardware and software solutions vendors
- Optimize the IT processes for customers to respond to their business needs


Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience level
- Comfortable and challenged by troubleshooting customer issues with insufficient data lack
  of complete customer information
- Experience with hosting operations and Citrix Metaframe is a plus
- Ability to articulate current status and issues
- Ability to take direction and provide appropriate feedback
- Strong Windows skills (2000 Server, 2003 Server, XP and Vista), as well as Microsoft Office
  experience
- In-depth knowledge of MS Exchange (5.5, 2000 and 2003) and Active Directory
- Hands-on experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting networks, security and
  routing (including domains, DNS, websites, SSL certificates, Internet-based applications,
  firewalls and web servers)

2nd Line Support Engineer - The Netherlands



The Position
GPXS Hosting is seeking a 2nd line support engineer to provide technical support and/or guidance directly to customers. This person will be responsible for analysis, diagnosis and problem solving of our products, qualifying the impact of issues and defining and executing action plans to address issues.

Provide in-depth (“second tier”) technical and product support to customers through the troubleshooting and debugging of hardware, software, and application issues. Mainly interacts with system administrators within GPXS’ customer base and resellers’ helpdesk staff.


Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced technical support engineer who has a strong background in customer-facing technical case management and resolution, with a strong preference for experience that includes application and/or mobile platforms and tools.

- Address customer and reseller questions on the usage and configuration of their GPXS
  solutions
- Provide customer support both by phone and online and manage customer cases
- Assist in creation of Support Knowledge Base Articles for our support website
- Provide technical assistance and remote troubleshooting support
- Reproduce customer issues for local diagnosis and troubleshooting


Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience level
- 2+ years of call center experience
- Comfortable and challenged by troubleshooting customer issues with insufficient data lack
  of complete customer information
- Ability to articulate current status and issues
- Ability to take direction and provide appropriate feedback
- Windows skills (2000 Server, 2003 Server, XP and Vista)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory
- Experience with hosting operations is a plus
- Experience with wireless systems is a plus
- Hands-on experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting applications
